To be honest, there is no standard answer that clearly mentions how long synthetic turf would last. Generally, the grass should come good for at least a decade and if well maintained, its life could be extended between 10 to 20 years or more. However, no manufacturer would offer a decade-long guarantee. Moreover, there are different varieties of artificial grass, and the total duration – artificial grass could therefore vary. Some fake turfs can even last for more than a couple of decades, but that’s not the norm.
Generally, synthetic grass makers provide a guarantee of 05 years minimum. If the fake grass has good UV stability, the grass can easily last beyond those 05 years. The better the UV stability, the longer the grass would be able to retain its hue. If the grass is high-quality, you can easily expect it to last for more than a decade. Proper Installation
Not just the actual grass quality, but the installation techniques employed also determine the fake grass’ age. The installer would have a better idea about whether the turf would require a sand infill arrangement or not. Sand infills usually lie better, have enhanced fire resistance, and are more resilient.
